What's the difference between Vuma and Openserve fibre?

Both are premium open-access fibre networks offering speeds up to 1 Gbps with high SLA uptime. The main difference is coverage: Vuma has strong Gauteng coverage while Openserve has the widest national footprint. Which one you get depends on which network passes your address — not your choice.

How long does installation take?

Once you've signed up and coverage is confirmed, installation typically takes 5–10 business days to schedule. The actual technician visit takes 1–3 hours. Your connection activates on the day of the visit.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my speed?

Yes. On month-to-month plans you can upgrade or downgrade anytime without penalties. Changes usually take effect from the next billing cycle, though upgrades may happen sooner.

What speed do I need for my household?

It depends on how many people and devices are online at the same time. For a 1–2 person household with casual browsing and streaming, 30–50 Mbps is usually enough.
